Helpful advice

What's this all about?

It's a fundraising ride for the Bristol Cycle Festival, a week-long celebration of all things two-wheeled.

How do I sign up?

Tickets can be purchased via the register page. Purchase is via Paypal but you don't need an account, just a credit or debit card. Print off your payment confirmation and bring it with you on the day.

What will my ticket include?

Your ticket includes guidance, mechanical support (including transport if your bike gives up the ghost), mid-ride refreshments and entertainment at the ride destination. All proceeds will go towards Bristol Cycle Festival, a non-profit event.

Where does the ride go?

The ride starts and finishes in central Bristol. You'll get full details of the start location and the route when you sign up.

Do I have to wear tweed?

Certainly not. It's a "vintage" ride, which can be interpreted as imaginatively as you like. Please do make an effort though.

Can I bring children?

Children are welcome, particularly ones with moustaches. The ride might be a bit long for very young children, unless they're passengers.

What if the weather's bad?

Don your cycling cape and your handlebar-mounted umbrella holder, and come anyway. We're not fair-weather cyclists and the end venue will cater to indoor and outdoor activities.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Unless you have particular dietary requirements, we'd ask that people don't bring their own food and drink - this is a fundraiser and proceeds from the lovely food and drink on offer at the Fete will go to September's Bristol Cycle Festival
